19 May 2010 - We visited Blandford St Mary School recently to explain the dangers of playing on building sites, and to teach the children why you wear different types of safety equipment.
Mark Pitcher, Managing Director, spoke to the children during their assembly and encouraged them to try on the safety clothing, and work out the reasons for wearing different types of protective equipment.
Mr Lavis, Headteacher, said “We are grateful to C G Pitcher & Son for coming in and talking to the children, as the Summer Holidays are fast approaching, and we are all aware of the dangers that children face if they come across a building site, and it enforces it in a fun way that sticks in the children’s minds.”
